MISSION
Our mission is to treat patients with alcohol and drug addiction and those with psychological conditions by using therapeutic approaches based on worldwide best practice principles. We cater for patients from Namaqualand, national and international.
TREATMENT GOALS
To have a highly professional multi-disciplinary and motivated team to adhere to all the relevant policies and procedures as stipulated by law. To treat patients and their families with positive attitude regarding, respect, honesty, empathy and warmth. To facilitate the personal growth process by utilizing the natural surroundings of Namaqualand – like the mountains and sea (natural and unspoiled beauty).To have strict well-defined boundaries of behaviour and to deal with misbehaviour in a lawful and fair way. We encourange the support and participation of family/caregivers as an essential and integral component of treatment and rehabilitation.
PROGRAMME
Proper medical/psychiatric/psychological assessment will be the key to successful intervention and will be done by highly experienced personnel. Special attention will be given to co-morbid conditions which is often the primary source of the problem.
We are registered with Board of Health funders and with Department of Social Development;
The patients in need of detoxification will be admitted to the local Hospital. The psychological treatment program will be at least 21 days and dependable on the progress made, this period can be extended for private clients.
We also have a 42 day program for referrals from various DSD offices for state patients in need of help. (Western Cape Only)
A healed person is not the original person minus the symptoms but a newly orientated person in which, through the new orientation, the necessity for the symptom itself has disappeared.
